Fulham Meltdown

Well, One would assume that after suck a defeat at home that the Red Devils would have been up and ready to play on Saturday. That did not happen...
I never saw a grown man give as much attention to the refs that Cristiano Ronaldo... He was more involved with talking to the referees that playing soccer in the 1st half... He just does not seem like he wants to be there...its getting to the point where you have to question is motives... but that just me thinking this... he is not the same CR as lat year...
As for the Scholesy sending off you can say he deserved it...He reacted the way i think anyone would have and was sent off for handing the ball on the goal line....once that penalty was converted you always expect a united team to get that goal back, but Fulham had something to prove after the 4-0 drumming we served them in the FA Cup...Schwartzer was on his "A" game and was able to handle any chances we had all game. I am still baffled as to why Wayne Rooney did not start because his energy in the second half was needed the entire game. what he brings to the team is more energy than anything else and you can see it on the pitch.. His first yellow was well deserved for tugging down Dacatour...Then a foul was called and he throws the ball back to the pot of the foul, but the referee thought he was throwing the ball at him and that was his second Yellow, so he to will miss the next match with Vidic against a in poor form Villa...
United were caught on the counter attack and Fulham finished it off to make the final 2-0...
We no longer have the goal differential to the scousers... But to me t does not matter.. if they cannot fix the house then we do not deserve the BPL title...
My main concern is the defense... Evra does not look to be in good form, Ferdinande looks lost with out Vidic, Vidic had a rough game aganst liverpool, but i am sure he will make mends, Jonny Evans is young and still learning, and our right back fill in is just scary.... i hope Raphael, Neville, or brown can come in and hold down the fort...

With an ailing Aston Villa coming up i hope we can get back on track and with game in hand we will be 4 points up andin control on the BPL title...

The Porto Draw for United is probably the best possible draw we could have gotten... If we get through them we will see Arsenal or Villareal in the Semis, which i think could take up to the final...
The other side is a crapshoot to me... I cannot see Liverpool staying in the groove... if Gerrard or Torres go down they are not the same team... Chelsea lost to tottenham Saturday, which keeps then 4 points back and they looked like crap....Drogba shows up when he wants to and Ballack just sucks (what has he ever done for anyone?)

All in all if we can get healthy and back to our unbeatable form we will be fine... we need to beat Villa to get back on track....

Until next time...

Man United v. Liverpool

Well it was not a good day for the Red Devils yesterday in the BPL. The game started out well, but just got worse...
My grades for the united players are:
  • Van Der Sar - C- - where was he on the free kick!
  • Ferdinand - C - Just average Day in the back...looked scared
  • Vidic - D - 1st goal his fault and the red card led to the 3rd goal...
  • O'Shea - C - WTF he did not look right today...
  • Evra - B - Energetic, did not give up much, and love the way he gets forward
  • Park - B+ - Looked good should have had 1 plus the PK he was awarded
  • Anderson - D - Not doing it for me... big game play a verteran (I.E. Giggs or Scholes)
  • Carrick - B - looked good on his passing and defendingskills but could not get anything going...
  • Ronaldo - C - other than his goal he disappeared and looked like he did not care... guess he has Real Madrid on the brain...
  • Tevez - A - All over the place and we need to sign him. He was doing anerything but scoring...
  • Rooney - A - Loved the energy he had all day, but the final touch was never there.
All in all not a good day and we have seen better....
Til next time...
